Educator Biography & Philosophy
Marcus trained in Montessori primary education and spent six years leading transition classrooms before joining Nurtiva. He specialises in the year before formal school, where confidence matters as much as content.
He builds early number sense through measuring, building, cooking, and games, so that mathematics arrives as something children already do rather than something new to learn.
"Readiness is not a checklist. It is a child who believes they can try something hard."
How Marcus Prepares Children for School
Marcus treats the year before school as a confidence year. Number sense arrives through measuring, building, cooking and games, so mathematics feels like something children already do rather than a new subject.
